Keynote Speaker
Meet Dr. Kathy To meet Dr. Kathy Koch, Ph.D. (pronounced "cook") through a paragraph description doesn't do her justice. Of course, we're sure the same is true of you. In a paragraph, you can't experience Dr. Kathy's personal interest, enthusiasm, authenticity, and communication skills. In other words, her heart can't come through. When you do meet her, it won't take you long to agree with others, there's a refreshing realness to Kathy that will encourage and inspire you.
Kathy first began thinking about universal human needs when in graduate school, as she was confronted with the idea during various courses. She would relate what she was learning to second graders she had just taught or middle school students she had coached. None of the models she was taught ever totally satisfied her, but she wasn't sure why.
When serving as a professor, Dr. Kathy and several colleagues taught a full-day seminar titled "Building Self-Esteem" which included the five core needs that she eventually built the Authentic Answers Model around. It was while teaching this program that the flaws in this person's model and other similar models became clear. As a result, Dr. Kathy developed the Authentic Answers Model. The order of the five core needs is significant and her teaching of the dynamic linkages among them makes our Model a practical problem-solving tool for children, teens, and adults.
Today, as the Founder of Celebrate Kids, Inc., Dr. Kathy teaches these important truths to parents, children of all ages, teachers, women, and missionaries nationally and internationally in seminars sponsored by schools, churches, and conventions.
Dr. Kathy is appreciated for her practical, realistic, helpful, and insightful ideas about many topics. She is also known for her down-to-earth, upbeat, humorous, and forthright style. People report being both encouraged and challenged. Whether a group is small or large, those in attendance sense Kathy's love and respect for them.

Celebrate Kids Presents Dr. Kathy Koch’s:
1. Real Solutions: What Do Your Students Need and Why?
Because of the interactive nature of the Five Core Needs Model, it is powerful for problem solving. Teens, children, and adults can learn to discern why they are feeling the way they are and what they can do about it. (In other words, they’ll find their own spiders and figure out how to kill them!)
2. Meeting the Needs of Millennial Students: How Can We Teach Them Effectively?
Dr. Kathy’s seminar includes instruction about a major shift teachers must make and four critically important skills our current students aren’t using that they must master for the 21st century. These conclusions will make sense in light of how technology is affecting our students and why they do what they do. The ideas and your uses of them will make a huge difference for students and teachers.
3. How Am I Smart? Discovering and Increasing Student’s Intelligences
"At the beginning of school assemblies, some kids have a hard time believing me. They truly doubt they are intelligent. As they hear the intelligences described, they begin to believe the evidence I give. An hour later, when asked to name their top four "smarts" they find it hard to narrow the list to only four! That's life changing." ~ Dr. Kathy Koch
