Keynote Speaker

APColorCropped2Andrew Pudewa is the director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing and a homeschooling father of seven. Presenting throughout North America, he addresses issues relating to teaching, writing, thinking, spelling, and music with clarity and insight, practical experience and humor. His seminars for parents, students, and teachers have helped transform many a reluctant writer and have equipped educators with powerful tools to dramatically improve students’ skills.

Although he is a graduate of the Talent Education Institute in Matsumoto, Japan, and holds a Certificate of Child Brain Development from the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his best endorsement is from a young Alaskan boy who called him “the funny man with the wonderful words.” He and his beautiful, heroic wife Robin currently teach their three youngest children at home in Atascadero, California.

Andrew received The Old Schoolhouse magazine’s “Homeschool Speaker of the Year” award in 2005 and again in 2007.

Registration Information

To download the registration form for the convention, please click here. To register for the Teen Program, youth should be turning 13 years of age by the end of 2010. Teens, don't forget to pack your swim wear or gym clothes (gym shoes are required) for the Friday evening activities. Bring your board games to share with friends, old and new.

For your convenience, a drop off room will be available for you to leave your coats and materials during the convention. For more information, contact Lori by or for general inquiries, call Linda at 692-3899 weekdays after 3 pm.

Please note that, due to budget considerations, the Convention Committee is not able to offer any exceptions to the convention registration fee. The committee has worked carefully to cut all unnecessary costs while still providing a quality conference at an affordable price. Attendees are welcome to attend all or a portion of the convention, as their schedules permit; however, the price remains as stated on the registration brochure. We regret that we are unable to provide discounts for persons choosing to participate in less than the full conference. Thank you for your understanding.

For fun, here's an updated map of the places that will be represented at the convention!
